Shawano Community High School graduate Staci Rubenzer has been hired as the new director of the Shawano County Library.
At a July 1 meeting of the library board, members voted to recommend to the executive committee that Rubenzer be named library director with a hire date of Aug. 1.
Rubenzer will succeed Nancy Bell, who resigned July 3. Bell was director for nearly two years. Her resignation was accepted by the library board June 9.
Mikki Moesch, assistant library director, was named interim director, effective July 7.
Rubenzer is a library media specialist at Green Bay Southwest High School. She will be in charge of the libraries in Shawano, Bonduel, Wittenberg, Birnamwood, Mattoon and Tigerton.
