Sherrie Framness

Sherrie Lynn Anderson-Framness, 75, of Marshfield, passed peacefully into Jesus’ presence on July 1, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center, with her family by her side. Born April 20, 1950, in Oconto Falls, Sherrie was the daughter of Ralph and Cora (Witzke) Anderson. She married Douglas Iver Framness on May 25, 1974, at Bethel Lutheran Church near Cecil. Sherrie is survived by Doug, her husband of 51 years; children, Lars, Wausau, Siri (Lincoln) Wilmoth, Bozeman, Montana; and Chris, Marshfield; grandchildren Cora, Weldon, Theodore and Everett; her brother, Gary Anderson, Cecil; and sister-in-law, Ellen Framness, Whitelaw. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger; and brother-in-law, Rupert Jr. Creative and hardworking, Sherrie used her talents in sewing and knitting to bless family and friends with handmade dresses, quilts and heirlooms. A gifted musician, she became an organist at age 14 and remained active in music throughout her life – singing, teaching, accompanying hundreds of high school musicians over decades, accompanying Marshfield High School musicals, church choirs and leading worship at Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield and later at Grace Lutheran in Marshfield. Sherrie was a woman of deep, abiding faith. What heavenly music she must be making now. A 1968 Gillett High graduate and DAR scholarship recipient, Sherrie earned a bachelor of music education from UW-Stevens Point in 1972. She taught music, later supporting her husband’s chiropractic practice as an office manager while raising their three children. Her humor, faith and devotion touched many lives. Proud of her Norwegian heritage, Sherrie and Doug were active in Sons of Norway and enjoyed trips to Norway to explore family roots. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., with service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery in Cecil. The family thanks Cassie of Compassus Hospice for her compassionate care.
