A 48-year-old man from Pound was shot in the leg during a disturbance at a Town of Brazeau home June 18, according to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said that about 12:50 a.m., the dispatch center was notified of an incident involving a firearm in the area of the 11000 block of Tom Post Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed a disturbance had occurred among several people at the residence. The suspect, a 39-year-old man from Pound, pointed a firearm at the victim and shot him in the leg.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Oconto County Jail. The victim was transported to a hospital in Green Bay for treatment of the injury.
An ongoing criminal investigation is being conducted by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office. This incident was isolated to the property with no threat to the public. No other information is being made available by the sheriff’s office.
