TEDCOR videos aimed at NFL draft visitors

Local officials and business owners are starring in online videos encouraging visitors to check out Oconto County communities while they’re in the area for the 2025 NFL draft. The draft is being held April 24-26 in Green Bay, an event expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to northeast Wisconsin. During her monthly report to the Oconto County Board on March 20, Jayme Sellen, executive director of the Tourism and Economic Development Corporation for the Oconto Region (TEDCOR), said her colleague, Kelly Schwartz, has been making a series of Reels — short videos on Facebook, Instagram and other platforms — to promote the county. “Basically, it’s going to every community and tagging businesses in that community and saying, you know we’re 30 miles from Lambeau Field, which is a 30-minute drive, come visit us for our good food, our retail establishments, whatever that is,” Sellen said. She encouraged supervisors and residents to seek out the videos, “Like” them, share them and leave comments. “I need your help to get this out to all those people who are going to come and visit and hopefully get some traffic up our way,” Sellen said. wbluhm@newmedia-wi.com
