The College of Menominee Nation and the Menominee Indian School District signed a memorandum of understanding signaling their dedication to providing greater opportunities for their students and strengthening the Menominee community.
The two organizations share many common values and concerns about the long-term success of the Menominee community. Their memorandum of understanding aims to provide a mechanism for the school district and the college to develop a partnership in education that builds a community for the future.
CMN President Christopher Caldwell and MISD Superintendent Marcus Denny recognized CMN chief academic officer Geraldine Sanapaw and MISD high school principal Kate Mikle for their dedication to making this partnership a reality.
“We are here to affirm the strength of our partnership and our shared vision for providing students with the best opportunities to thrive, academically and professionally,” Sanapaw said.
“As we mark this significant milestone in our commitment to our students’ futures, our collaboration with CMN has blossomed into a powerful pathway into higher education,” Mikle added.
