Wittenberg-Birnamwood 67, Bonduel 45
Wittenberg-Birnamwood won the Central Wisconsin East Conference championship with a 67-45 win over Bonduel.
“We played great team basketball tonight. We got big shots from the outside by many tonight,” Chargers coach Nick Mechelke said. “Bonduel really focused on taking Rory (Salvesen) and Melaina (Granquist) away tonight, and the others really stepped up. We shot 47% from 3-point land tonight. This is exactly what you want to see when opponents try to take away your main scorers.”
Harper Rogowski led the Chargers with 17 points, including four 3-pointers. Granquist added 13, and Salvesen scored 11.
Granquist led the team with seven rebounds, and Salvesen had six steals.
The Chargers are 13-0 in conference and 21-0 overall. The Bears are 11-2 in league play and 17-5 overall.
Shawano 80, Green Bay East 20
Ella Stuber got the Hawks out to an early lead with five 3-pointers in the first half. A total team effort gave the Hawks a comfortable 80-20 victory.
The team is 9-2 in the Bay Conference and 17-4 overall.
Gresham 59, Bowler 39
A 59-39 win over Bowler helped ensure Gresham would win the Central Wisconsin North Conference with a 5-1 record. Marion/Tigerton is in second place at 4-2.
Bowler was led by Natalie Rickert’s 19 points and nine rebounds. Autumn Thiex handed out five assists, and Paige Treptow had four steals.
Manitowoc Lincoln 52, Pulaski 49
The Red Raiders’ nine-point lead at halftime evaporated in the second half and Manitowoc Lincoln clawed its way back to get the 52-49 win.
Olivia Sprangers led Pulaski with 18 points. Ashley Servais tossed in 13 more, and Lily Urben scored 10.
