Bay Area 7, Arrowhead 1
After beating Arrowhead 4-1 in Ashwaubenon on Jan. 31, the Bay Area Ice Bears traveled to the Warhawks’ home rink and won again, this time 7-1.
Hannah Von Haden had goals for the Ice Bears, with five teammates accounting for the other five goals.
Pulaski’s Faye Brunke started the scoring at 9:38 in the first period, with Addison Dahl adding a second goal at 10:21 with a Julianne Bradford assist.
The Ice Bears scored four times in the second period to open up a 6-0 lead.
Von Haden scored at 3:06 and then assisted Aisling Buchan at 9:38. Bradford scored at 16:22 with help from Ava McDonald and Dahl. Then, Von Haden scored again at 16:57 with an assist from Tiana Stindt.
Arrowhead’s only goal at 12:31 in the third period, and Bay Area responded with a goal by Emily Bill at 14:56 with an an assist from Brunke to end the scoring.
The Warhawks only mustered 11 shots on goal, with Reese Spiering getting 10 saves. The Ice Bears had 42 shots on goal.
Arrowhead had one penalty for four minutes. Bay Area had four penalties for 11 minutes.
