NorthLakes Community Clinic (NLCC) has announced the opening of a new health care facility in Oconto, expanding access to essential medical services for area residents.
The 10,000-square-foot clinic adjacent to Bellin Health Oconto Hospital represents NLCC’s commitment to addressing critical health care needs in Oconto County.
“Today marks a transformative moment for health care access in Oconto County,” said NorthLakes CEO Ana Tochterman. “This new facility enables us to enhance our existing dental services and introduce vital new services to meet community needs.”
Two new services — behavioral health and chiropractic care — will now be offered, along with expanded dental and patient supports. Optometry is expected in the future.
This expansion addresses a crucial gap in local health care services, particularly in mental health care, according to a NLCC press release. The facility’s strategic location next to Bellin Hospital creates a centralized health care hub for Oconto residents, streamlining access to various wellness services.
“Our vision for this facility extends beyond traditional health care,” clinic manager Hannah Schad said. “We’re creating a welcoming space where patients can access comprehensive care regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. This aligns with our core mission of providing an integrated array of quality services and actively removing barriers to wellness.”
The facility’s opening follows months of planning and construction by IEI Contractors. The project is a collaborative effort between NLCC and Bellin Hospital, and the land acquisition benefits both organizations’ operational needs.
