Gavin Hundt and Blake Knope each had a hat trick in Shawano/Bonduel’s 9-2 non-conference win over Medford.
The visitors went up 5-0 after one period. The Raiders’ two goals came in the second period, while Shawano/Bonduel added another four in the third.
Scoring began with Teagan Harkey getting a goal just 32 seconds into the game; Hundt assisted. Waylon Snider scored with a Jeremy Helmuth assist at 3:34, and Blake Swedberg made it 3-0 at 4:58.
Knope’s first goal came at 8:21, and Hundt’s first score was at 12:06. Cameron Schroeder assisted on both goals.
Leading 5-2 as the third period got underway, Hundt sacred his second goal at 8:10 and completed the hat trick at 13:01 with an assist from Harkey. Knope was assisted by Hundt at 14:15, and the former completed his hat trick at 15:09 to end the scoring.
Shawano/Bonduel had 44 shots on goal, with Talan Albers tallying 35 saves. Tyson Lyons had 18 saves for Shawano/Bonduel.
Medford was called for six penalties for 12 minutes, while Shawano/Bonduel had five for 10 minutes.
