Bay Area 3, Fox Cities Stars 1
Faye Brunke scored all three goals for her own hat trick at the Bay Area Ice Bears 3-1 win over the Fox Cities Stars.
The victory improves Bay Area to 6-0 in the Eastern Shores Conference at 12-0 overall.
After a scoreless first period, Brunke put Bay Area up 1-0 at 9:35 only to see the game tied at 1-1 less than a minute later. But, Brunke gave the Ice Bears a 2-1 edge at 14:50.
In the third period, Brunke notched her hat trick at 15:54 to seal the win. Assisting on the last goal were Emily Bill and Addison Dahl.
Bay Area recorded 35 shots on goal, compared to 16 for the Stars. Reese Spiering had 15 saves for the Ice Bears.
Fox Cities was penalized twice for four mantes, while Bay Area was called for five infractions for 10 minutes.
Through the first dozen games of the season, Bill leads Bay Area with 33 overall points, followed by Brunke with 32, Jualianne Bradford with 28 and Dahl with 22.
Next up is a Jan. 24 game at the Chippewa Falls/Menomonie Sabers, who are 2-2 in the Big Rivers Conference and 7-8 overall.

Bay Area 5, Wisconsin Valley Union 0
Five girls scored in the Bay Area 5-0 shutout against Wisconsin Valley Union.
With an assist by Brunke, Bradford scored at 13:26 in the first period. Then, Bradford and Dahl assisted Bill on a goal at 13:28 in the second period.
In the third period, Aisling Buchan scored at 4:04 with an assist from Hannah Van Haden. Rachael Beeck scored at 8:39 with help from Elizabeth Zunker. Finally, at 15:10, Brunke scored with help from Dahl and Ava McDonald.
Kade Kitchenmaster had 11 saves for the Ice Bears, and Issie Wojcik had 21 for Wisconsin Valley Union.
Bay Area and one penalty for two minutes. Wisconsin Valley Union had two penalties for four minutes.
