Hillside Assembly will be sponsoring its 29th annual Wild Game Banquet on Jan. 25 at Oconto Falls High School, 210 N. Farm Road, Oconto Falls.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite dish to the potluck dinner at 5:30 p.m. with speaker Dean Hulce from “God’s Great Outdoors” at 6:30 p.m. The doors open at 4 p.m.
Hulce is a lifetime hunter who has spent 35 years as a guide in Kodiak Island, Alaska, coastal Florida, Colorado and Texas. He is a writer for national and regional magazines and newspapers, daily devotionals, and has appeared on hunting and outdoor television programs, videos and podcasts.
Replicas of huge whitetail deer will be on display. Grizzly bear, elk and mule deer mounts will also be featured.
Donation raffle prizes will be available again this year. New this year is a free drawing for a Disabled American Veteran buck hunt at Butler Rock Ranch. There will also be a youth Nerf gun range from 4-5:30 p.m.
Any buck, bear or bull can be brought in for scoring. The event is free, but folks can bring in a canned good for the local food pantry and your their wild game dish. One low level raffle ticket will be given for each wild game dish brought.
