A Pulaski man was killed in a Christmas morning crash in southern Oconto County.
Sheriff Todd Skarban said in a news release that Zachary Wudke, 29, was driving an SUV east on County Road S in the Town of Chase with a 4-year-old child on board.
For reasons unknown, the vehicle drifted off the road into a ditch and adjacent field when it struck a tree. Wudke died at the scene, and Skarban said the child was transported to a Green Bay hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department and Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office. Deputies were also assisted at the scene by the Tri-County Fire Department and NEW Rescue, Skarban said.
