Blake 2, Bay Area 1
There was one goal scored in each of the three periods with Blake getting the 2-1 nod over the Bay Area Ice Bears.
Down 1-0 to start the second period, Emily Bill scored with assists from Addison Dahl and Faye Brunke to tie the game at 1-1. A Blake goal in the third period goal gave the win to the visitors.
Reese Spiering had 12 saves, while Blake’s Janie McGawn had 31.
Blake was penalized twice for four minutes, while the Ice Bears were called for three infractions for six minutes.
Dec. 6
Bay Area 3, Warbirds 1
It took the Ice Bears until the third period before their onslaught of shots on goal began to connect, as they beat the Warbirds 3-1.
Trailing 1-0 going into the final stanza, Bay Area got on the board at 2:55 with a goal by Faye Brunke and assists by Julianne Bradford and My Sheppard.
Addison Dahl scored at 5:19 with assists from Briana Anundsen and Tiana Stindt. Brunke scored again at 8:40 with an assist from Emily Bill.
The Ice Bears had 42 shots on goal, with Kennedy Kohlman making 39 saves. Reese Spiering made 11 saves for the Ice Bears.
The Warbirds were called for three penalties for six minutes, while the Ice Bears were penalized once for two minutes.
