This game wasn’t even close, as Lena obliterated St. Thomas Aquinas Academy 67-6.
Madilyn Thomson led the Wildcats with 23 points. Eva Brooks scored 15, and Kali Fischer had 12.
Brooks led with five rebounds and six assists. Haley Van Ark recorded six steals.
Gillett 41, Niagara 30
Four players each scored eight points to lead a balanced attack for Gillett in its 41-30 win over Niagara.
Lily Hansen, Cilena Guns, Maggie Kaczmarek and Audrey Pate each had eight points. Hope Soper scored seven, and Clara Schaal had the other two.
Gillett led 25-15 at the half and won the second half 16-15.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood 71, Manawa 41
Once Wittenberg-Birnamwood locked into their game, it was no holds barred as they crushed Manawa 71-41.
“We got off to a slow start in the first half. I called a timeout and made a little adjustment, and we went on a big run,” coach Nick Mechelke said. “We weren’t getting into our spots early on.”
That adjustment led to the Chargers bursting out to a 48-15 lead at the half.
Rory Salvesen led the team with 19 points, followed by Melaina Granquist with 18. Ava Brie and Harper Rogowski each scored 11.
“We got a really good game from Ava Brei tonight.” Mechelke said. “She played very well on both ends of the court.”
Granquist set a blistering pace with 13 rebounds, Salvesen nabbed seven steals, and Rogowski and Salvesen each had a pair of assists.
