Martha L. Kruse, 96, of Oconto Falls, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Nov. 20, 2024. The daughter of Joseph and Sophie (Przybylski) Kaczorowski was born March 17, 1928, in the Town of Maple Grove.
On Jan. 13, 1947, Martha married Gail Kruse Sr. The couple farmed together in the Town of Morgan until their retirement. She was a devoted mother and homemaker and was always there for her children. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Catholic Parish in Gillett and later St. Casimir Parish in Krakow.
Martha loved being outdoors. She enjoyed cutting the lawn on her zero turn and riding her Kubota; her yard was always meticulous. She also enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking.
Survivors include her nine children, Gail (Donna) Kruse Jr., New London, James Kruse, Oconto Falls, Richard (Geri) Kruse, Curran, Michigan, Gordon (Carolyn) Kruse, Evans, Georgia, Linda (Melvin) Much, Marion, Ronnie (June) Kruse, Lena, Sue Kruse, New London, Lee Roy (Diane) Kruse, Oconto Falls, and David (Kelly) Kruse, Chesterfield, Michigan; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe (Donna) Kaczorowski; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to her husband, Gail Sr., and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Faith; two brothers: Archie Kaczorowski and Richard (Arlene) Kaczorowski; a sister, Helen (Lawrence) Zablocki; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Kruse.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Casimir Church, Krakow, on Saturday, Nov. 23, at noon with the Rev. James Esser, O.F.M. presiding andthe Rev. Finian Zaucha, O.F.M. concelebrating. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to granddaughters Jackie and Nicole for all their help with Grandma. They would also like to thank the Compassus Hospice Team and the staff at St. Vincent Hospital for their compassionate care.
