William “Bill” Moody, 92, Abrams, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, at his home.
Bill was born Oct. 26, 1931, to the late Joseph and Doris (Delano) Moody. He married Margaret Sutrick on Aug. 5, 1950. She preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 2018.
Bill served his country in the U.S. Army. He started his truck driving career with milk trucks and then drove for Schneider Transport for 25 years. Bill also worked for the Town of Abrams. He enjoyed gardening, making maple syrup and cutting wood. Bill was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, and the Abrams American Legion.
Bill is survived by three sons, Ronald (Sandra) Moody, Gary (Joanne) Moody and Terry (Debby) Moody; three sisters-in-law, Carol Hallada, Anna Sutrick, Terry Cybry; nine grandchildren, Elexis (Mark) Myslik, Pete (Kari) Moody, Tom (Melissa) Moody, Gabe (Carrie Lade) Moody, Patrick (Jennifer) Moody, David (Anne) Moody, Gina (Steve) Linssen, Bryanna Moody and Garrett (Jessica) Moody; as well as 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother, Delbert Moody; two sisters, Germaine Strigenz and Mary Moody; and great-granddaughter, Ava Moody.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Francis Nusi officiating. Military rites will follow.
