UW-Eau Claire Four hundred eighty-one incoming freshmen received scholarships from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for the 2024-25 academic year, with many students receiving multiple awards. Local recipients are: Gresham: Jessa Jensen, Gresham High School, Mark of Excellence Scholarship Shawano: Maddigan Bakeberg, Shawano High School, Chancellor’s Scholarship; Lillian Guenther, Shawano High School, Chancellor’s Scholarship; Lillian Guenther, Shawano High School, Freshmen Honors Scholarship Abrams: Ana Feliz, Oconto Falls High School, Freshmen Honors Scholarship Oconto Falls: Faith Shamburek, Oconto Falls High School, Chancellor’s Scholarship; Grace Shamburek, Oconto Falls High School, Chancellor’s Scholarship and Freshmen Honors Scholarship. Upper Iowa University Todd Meyer, of Hatley, an information systems major at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, was named to the dean’s list for the summer semester. To be honored, the undergraduate must have earned a minimum 3.50 GPA and be enrolled as a full-time student. Southern New Hampshire University Local students named to the summer 2024 president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, New Hampshire, are: Stevie Tousey, of Bowler; Carmine Linea, of Shawano; Logan Klein, of Lena; Brittany Lacy, of Pulaski; and Katherine Stephenson, of Gresham. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum GPA of 3.7 and above for the reporting term are named to the president’s list. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a GPA between 3.5-3.699 for the reporting term are named to the dean’s list. Local students honored are: Paula Peterson, of Cecil; and Maxwell Mueller, of Bonduel.
