Waupoose wins Oconto Invite

Oct. 1 Oconto Invitational Menominee Nation’s Bryant Waupoose III won the Oconto Invitational boys race in 17:52.9, with teammate Ryan Corn just seven seconds behind him with a second-place time of 17:59.9. Another teammate, Jason Chapman, placed 10th in 18:57.2. Francis Delabrue finished in 19th place in 19:39.1. Quinn Olson was 26th, and Michael Peters was 27th, separated by 0.4 seconds. Cashius Reevis placed 29th, Cody Peters was 63rd and Louis Kakkak placed 66th. Leading the Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas Academy team was Mason Belongia, who finished in 11th place in 18:58.4. Erik Kosch was 32nd, Dash Comins was 39th, and Cooper Malloy claimed 68th place. Wolf River Lutheran’s Ryan Drengler placed 45th in 21:40.8. For the girls, Lena/St. Thomas’ Adrena Rabas finished in third place in 21:59.2, with teammate Aspynn Anderson in fifth in 22:42.2. Madilyn Thomson placed 13th in 24.08; Della Kostreva was 17th in 24:54.7. Alexis Maloney placed 25th, and Miriam Alberts was 26th, separated by 1.9 seconds. Haley VanArk was 29th, Kali Fischer placed 31st and Hannah Thomson was 32nd. Wolf River Lutheran’s Violet Buchholz placed 12th in 23.50.1. Urijah Reevis, representing Menominee Nation, placed 14th in 24:08. Anisa Peters was 37th.
