Anton 'Tony' Boehm

Anton (Tony) William Boehm, 60, of Maplewood, Minnesota, passed away from glioblastoma on Sept. 20, 2024, at The Pillars Hospice, Oakdale, Minnesota. A 1982 graduate of Shawano High School, he was elected sophomore class president and went on to take classes at the University of Wisconsin. He spent many years with his family skiing Big Powderhorn Mountain in Bessemer, Michigan, and fishing and swimming in Faulkner Lake in the Woodruff/Minocqua area of Wisconsin. Tony loved a deep discussion, thinking outside the box and often elicited a laugh with his dry sense of humor. He was an avid guitar player with a great love of music, especially rock, roots and jazz. His wealth of knowledge about songs, artists and bands across many decades and genres never ceased to amaze. Tony was preceded in death by his doting grandmothers; parents, Joe W. and Jen Boehm; and infant niece. He is survived by his five siblings, Stefanie Koeller (Connie Fletcher), Joe J. Boehm, Michelle Boehm, Jim (Karen) Boehm, Mary (Dan) Campbell; five nieces; and two nephews. A kind and loving brother, he will be greatly missed. The family held a private service and burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Shawano. “Fare you well, fare you well “I love you more than words can tell “Listen to the river sing sweet songs “To rock my soul” (“Brokedown Palace” Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter)
