Jack Adler took the loss on the mound. He pitched 2/3 of an inning, gave up three earned runs on two hits, struck out one and walked two.
Bonduel 6, Amherst 1
Amherst scored in the first inning, but after that Cade Johnson settled in and shut down the Falcons with six strong innings, giving up just one run and two hits. Noah Weier struck out the side in the seventh to close out the game.
After a slow start, the Bears scored two in the third, three in the fourth and a solo run in the fifth.
Colin Margelofsky and Weier had two hits each to lead the Bonduel attack. Weier, Margelofsky, Easton Reinke and Beckett Hartlaben all had doubles for the Bears.
Bonduel’s overall record is now 11-3 and 7-1 in CWC East play.
