Tammy L. Chase

Tammy L. Chase, 58, of Weyauwega, passed away at her home, following her battle with cancer, on Friday, July 8, 2022. She was born on Feb. 1, 1964, in Shawano, the daughter of Wayne and Pat (Wiesman) Pluger. On June 29, 1985, Tammy married Tom Chase at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Tammy worked as a fitness instructor and manager at Splash Fitness in Waupaca. She also taught Zumba classes in the area for several years before her illness forced her to no longer do so. Tammy was very proud of her family and could be seen attending the many football games and events that they were involved in throughout the area. She also enjoyed hunting deer and turkeys, shooting trap, spending time at the camper, exercising, crafting and working on her flowers and landscaping. She and Tom also enjoyed getting together with friends to play Bunco. Tammy is survived by her husband, Tom; two sons, Christopher (Karley) Chase, Glendale, and Cody (fiancé Morgan Smith) Chase, Wrightstown; her mother, Pat Pluger, Shawano; her brother, Todd (Deb) Pluger, Shawano; a brother-in-law, Jason (Brenda) Chase, Weyauwega; nieces and nephews, Spencer, Kristin, Lindsay, Jada, Kayla, Nicole (Jeremy) Opps, Richard Fronzack, Carrine and Jocelyn; great-nieces and great-nephews, her stepmother-in-law, Jan Chase; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Pluger; her mother and father-in-law, Donald and Nancy Chase; and two sisters-in-law, Sally Fronzack and Dawn Chase. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 8580 37th Ave., Fremont. The Rev. Siemers will officiate. Burial will be in Hatton Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Lewin Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Fremont, on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
