Lynne Marie Rousseau

Lynne Marie Rousseau, 69, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away early Friday morning, March 20, 2015, at War Memorial Hospital. Lynne was born March 13, 1946, in Oconto Falls to the late Thomas and Orpha Kobes. Lynne married Reginald Rousseau on Dec. 12, 1965, in Brimley, Michigan. Lynne was an avid reader who passed on her love of reading to her family and enjoyed trading books with friends and family members. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the company of her cat. Lynne was a member of The Algonquin United Methodist Church. She was very well liked and will be missed by many. Lynne is survived by her husband of 49 years, Reginald Rousseau, of Sault Ste. Marie; a daughter, Michele (Steven) Greiner, of Marquette, Michigan; two grandchildren, Randy and Nicole; and one great-grandchild, Aliyah. She is also survived by a sister, Shirley Hanek, of Oconto Falls; a brother, Terry (Gloria) Kobes, of Milwaukee; two brothers-in-law, George (Linda) Rousseau, of Belding, Michigan, and Edward (Grace) Rousseau, of Sault Ste. Marie; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kelly Sue Rousseau; her father- and mother-in-law, George and Laura Rousseau; brother-in-law, Ron Hanek; sister-in-law, Joyce Gomas; and niece, Traci Kobes. According to Lynne’s wishes, no public services were held. A private burial will be held later this spring at Pine Grove Cemetery.
