Loretta Jean “Peanut” Waupoose, 41, of South Branch, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at her home. Born on Sept. 26, 1972, in Bessemer, Mich., she was the daughter of Leona Mae (Goodwill) Waupoose and the late Mitchell Waupoose. Loretta enjoyed being outdoors and going for rides in the woods. She also liked big trucks and fast cars. She was a hard worker and loved being a mom to her boys. In her younger years, Loretta played Little League as a catcher and caught when her brother, Bill pitched.
Loretta is survived by her significant other, Doug Wilber; her three sons, Wayne (Cheyenne) Pecore, of Shawano, Paul Pecore and Chase Pecore, both of Keshena; a granddaughter, Jocelynn Skye Pecore; her mother, Leona Waupoose; and 12 siblings, William, Elaine, Ellie, Michelle, Mary, Jenny, Laurie, Mel, Joe, Charlotte, Peeper and Chum.
Loretta was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Waupoose; and three siblings, Carl, Rosella and Jake.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David McElroy, O. Praem., officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s of the Lake Cemetery at South Branch. Visitation will be held at the residence located at W723 County Road M, Suring, in Menominee County from 3 p.m. on Friday until the procession leaves for the church on Monday. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
