Lena battles back for win against Niagara

Sept. 10 Lena 3, Niagara 1 A 25-19 loss to Niagara in the first game didn’t get Lena down, as the Wildcats fought back to win the next three games 25-18, 25-21, 25-18 for a 3-1 win. Bonduel 3, Shiocton 2 Bonduel volleyball earned its first conference win against Shiocton. The game went to five sets. Shiocton jumped out to the early lead, winning the first set 25-22. Bonduel then won the next two sets 25-16 and 25-19. Shiocton jumped out to an early lead in the fourth set, leading 15-5 at one point. Bonduel rallied back but was unable to completely recover from the slow start. Shiocton won the fourth set 25-20. Bonduel jumped out to the quick start in the fifth set leading 5-0. Audrey Weier had eight kills in the fifth set, which the Bears won 15-4. Weier led Bonduel with 23 kills, 19 digs and three aces. Juliana Jacobs was a strong contributor with 14 kills. Josie Anvelink chipped in 9 kills and 21 digs. Tatum Sporisky led in digs with 22. Assist leaders were Paige Niquette and Jayla Reinke with 25 each. Bonduel is 1-0 in conference and 10-2 overall. Crivitz 3, Gillett 0 Gillett was clearly in every game, but the Tigers fell short in each as they dropped a 3-0 match to Crivitz, which is 4-0 in the Marinette and Oconto Conference. Gillett is 0-4.
