Shawano County Farm Bureau announced recently that Kurowski Dairy will host the 2026 Shawano County Brunch on the Farm from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 28.

The event will give community members the opportunity to explore a traditional family dairy farm and take part in a morning packed with family-friendly activities.

Kurowski Dairy has been owned by Gloria and Cletus Kurowski since 1990. Their daughter, Tia Arndt, returned to the family farm full-time after graduating from University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2013. Their son, Travis Kurowski, returned to the farm part-time in fall 2025.

Cletus Kurowski started milking cows in 1980 on his parents’, Harry and Shirley Kurowski, farmstead. In 1982, he married Gloria, and together they have grown the herd to what it is today.

This is a family operation that includes spouses and grandchildren. Tia’s husband, Harlow Arndt, and their children, Isabella and Sawyer, are regularly involved in farm chores. Additionally, Travis’s fiancée, Bella Schroeder, contributes her help and encouragement, making the farm’s success a true family effort.

The Kurowski family milks 130 cows and manages nearly 700 acres of productive cropland, all of which are connected near the farm. They retrofitted the original tie stall barn in 2008 to a modernized swing-10 milking parlor.

Since hosting Brunch on the Farm in 2014, the Kurowskis have enhanced their operation by adding a calf barn, ensuring healthier, happier calves from day one. With a focus on quality genetics, they also utilize live bulls with outstanding pedigrees to naturally strengthen their herd, keeping the family farm thriving for generations to come.
