Karen L. Henne, 63, town of Stiles, Lena, passed away March 28, 2015, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle against cancer.
Karen Henne, the former Karen Louise Mount, was born Jan. 20, 1952, to Edward and Bernice (Smith) Mount. On Sept. 25, 1971, Karen was united in marriage to Jay Henne, and the couple was blessed with two beautiful children.
She was an active member of the Lena Seventh-Day Adventist Church for more than 35 years. Karen had a loving and generous heart and was always helping others. She enjoyed listening to the sounds of her wind chimes, planting her flowers and garden, feeding her birds, and watching her chipmunks run and play. She would also try new recipes, which always ended up having her own twist on them. Most of all Karen devoted her life to her family. She adored her grandkids and spent every day of her life with them.
Surviving Karen are her loving husband of 44 years, Jay; a son, Jason (Celena Williams) Henne, and a daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Lionel Gehm, all of Oconto Falls; grandchildren, Ethan, Owen and Jocelyn; her mother, Bernice Mount; a sister, Sheri Rouer; her father in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph “Jr.” and Marion Henne; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Mount, a sister, Judy Hammersly, a nephew and a brother-in-law.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Lena Seventh Day Adventist Church, 538 Harley St., Lena. The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 p.m. until the service time and following the service during a time of fellowship.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice and to family and friends who kept Karen and her family in their prayers.

Karen was cherished by many and will be sadly missed.
