June Marie Norman

June M. (Leiber) Norman, 93, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Maple Lane Healthcare Center in the town of Belle Plaine. June was born on June 20, 1921, the beloved daughter of the late Erwin E. and Gertrude (Schwartz) Leiber in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a graduate of Cleveland High School and a member of First Unity Church in Missouri. June worked in the insurance industry for 30 years, retiring from Crum and Forster Insurance in 1990. She was a volunteer for 17 years for Feed My People Food Pantry and the Carondelet Historical Center. In 2011, June moved from Missouri to Shawano. She had a wonderful life and was a proud and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. June is survived by her children, John F. (Robin) Dishon, of San Diego, Suzanne (Mike) Kirar, of Shawano; four grandchildren, Carl (Heidi) Kirar, John Rueckert, James (Tammy) Rueckert, Michael (Kelly) Kirar Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Alora, Denice, Giada, Ruby June and Maxwell. She is further survived by her sister, Jean Smith, of St. Louis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends, all who enriched her life. June was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Wilke; one grandson, Nicholas Kirar; her parents; and a brother-in-law, Robert Smith. A memorial service for June will be held in St. Louis, Missouri, at a date to be determined. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
