Janice Teteak Emerson, 66, of Oconto Falls, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014. She was born to Bill and Audrey (Harley) Teteak on June 13, 1948, in Oconto Falls.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Emerson, Oct. 6, 2013.
She loved gardening, her cats and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, Chelsey, Preston and Sophia.
Surviving are her son, Jason (Angie) Emerson, Bloomington, Minnesota; daughter, Nikka Emerson, Brooklyn, New York; mother, Audrey Teteak, Oconto Falls; sister, Gail Teteak Hultmann, Minneapolis, Minnesota; niece, Rachel (Aaron) Gildernick, Green Bay; nephew, Zachary Hultmann, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Emerson; father, Bill Teteak; and sister, Jackie Teteak.
The family will greet relatives and friends Friday, Nov. 7, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 221 E. Main St., Lena, from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Janice will be placed to rest at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Lena.
