Janet “Jan” Eggers, 77, of Suring, passed away after a long illness on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Suring Health and Rehabilitation Center, which she considered her home.
Janet was born May 27, 1948, the fifth child of Julius and Linda (Nass) Seefeldt of Peshtigo. She worked various jobs, including operating her own day care. While working at Great Lakes Shoe, Janet met the love of her life, Robert Eggers, in 1977. They married on Valentine’s Day 1978 and had 34 wonderful years together before Robert’s passing in 2012.
Janet was very active in Boy Scouts for many years while living in Oconto. She was a very talented crafter, making numerous items that were beautiful and decorative. Completing jigsaw puzzles was a favorite pastime.
Janet is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Madonna Seefeldt of Gillett, who were always there for her. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Frances Seefeldt of Peshtigo; stepsons, Brian and Eric Eggers of Fond du Lac; sister-in-law and spouse, Deb and Mike Price of Abrams; nieces and nephews; special friends, Chucky, Kevin, Alice, Tina and Don; special nurse, Karen.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; son, Dan; grandson, Brody; sister, Alice, and her husband, Don Henke; sister, Hazel, and her husband, R. Richard Bundy; brother, Roy Seefeldt.
