Trevor Pedersen pitched a no-hitter for Bonduel in Tuesday’s road win.
Pedersen struck out 14 and allowed two walks, while the Bears’ offense scored all nine runs with two outs.
Colton Dobratz and Jordan Richter had two hits each for Bonduel, which improved to 19-1 overall and is 13-1 in the Central Wisconsin Conference-8.
Algoma is 3-12 overall and 3-10 in the Packerland Conference.
TENNIS
Hawks eliminated from tourney play
Shawano earned two match wins Tuesday in the WIAA Division 1 sub-sectional at Ashwaubenon, but failed to advance in the tourney series.
Both of the Hawks’ wins were in doubles events. Sajen Knueppel and Dalton Parson earned a win over Jeffrey Ali and Caleb Paradies, of Green Bay Southwest, 6-0 and 6-3, in No. 2 doubles. They dropped their next match, 6-1 and 6-0, to Devin Wright and Andrew Gehring, of Ashwaubenon.
Manuel Morel and Kyle Easter earned a win at No. 3 doubles over Dan Xiong and Lars Oswell of Green Bay Southwest, 6-4 and 6-4. James Christensen and David Clark, of Ashwaubenon, defeated Morel and Easter, 6-0 and 6-0, in the following round.
GOLF
Bushman advances for Witt-Birn
Maverick Bushman will represent Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School in the WIAA Division 2 golf sectional June 2 at Irish Waters Golf Course in Freedom.
Bushman shot an 85 Tuesday at the regional at Crystal Springs in Seymour. He was the second-highest finisher not associated with a sectional-qualifying team, behind Peshtigo’s Tyler Lund (84).
Bushman led the Chargers to a season-low 377 to finish seventh in the team standings. Marinette won the regional with a 321, followed by Waupaca (328), Oconto Falls (339) and Freedom (343). The top four teams advance to the sectional.
Gavin Czerwonka finished with a 93 for Wittenberg-Birnamwood. Kyle Adamski had a 94, and Madison Bushman had a 105.
Clintonville (402) finished eighth in the team standings, led by Paul Kenfield with a 91. Justin Mueller (93), Ian Gretzinger (107) and Tyler Colla (111) completed the Truckers’ card.
TRACK
Boivin wins 2 events at triangular
Daniel Boivin had two wins for the Shawano boys track and field team in the Bay Triangular meet May 21 at West De Pere.
Boivin won the pole vault (14 feet, 6 inches) and won the 300 hurdles (41.52 seconds) for the Hawks. Jake Klister (2:11.83) added a win in the 800-meter run for Shawano. Tyrell Hesse (5-10) won the high jump.
The Shawano girls team also earned multiple wins in the event. Onalee Siegfried (9-6) won the pole vault. Averi Vomastic (50.80) won the 300 hurdles, and Kathryn Kugel (6:01.83) won the 1,600.
No team scores were kept for the meet.
