Shawano places 4th at Golden Sands
Shawano tallied a team score of 202 and Bonduel scored 226 to finish in fourth and sixth place, respectively, in a Bay-North Eastern Conference North Division meet at Golden Sands Golf Course in Cecil.
Marinette took the team title with a 169, 32 strokes better than second-place Seymour.
Brianna Zook led the scoring for Shawano with a 46, with Julia Beck adding a 49, Sydney Schrieber scoring a 52, and Gabby Krueger shooting a 55.
For Bonduel, Danielle Lautenbach had the low score with a 45. Jessie LaBerge scored a 57, McKenzie Mews shot a 59, and Mariah Diemel shooting a 65.
Marinette’s Kayla Thielen was the medalist, shooting a 2-over 37.

Hawks dominate 2nd day at tourney
Shawano took 13th place out of 24 teams at the Wisconsin Dells Friendship Tournament over the weekend.
The Hawks fell to Wrightstown, Kettle Moraine and Wisconsin Dells on the opening day before defeating Prairie du Chien, Riverdale and Clintonville on the second day of play.
Annelies Young led the team with 110 assists. Erika Dunnam had 62 kills. Anika Klement had eight aces for the Hawks, and Dunnam scored 16 block kills as well.

SCHS falls in home opener
Jacob Dickmann scored Shawano’s lone goal in a 9-1 defeat Tuesday at the hands of West De Pere.
The Hawks (2-2 overall, 1-0 Bay Conference) allowed five first-half goals and two goals in the two opening minutes of the second half.
Manny Morel made two saves on the night, while Tyrell Hesse added 10 saves.
Gresham/Bowler falls to Gibraltar
Gresham/Bowler found the back of the net twice, but allowed four goals in a 4-2 home loss Tuesday night.
Neal Cerveny scored both goals for the Cats, with Drew Haffner recording an assist. Todd Otradoven tallied 12 saves on 16 shots on goal for Gresham/Bowler.
Shawano splits weekend matches
Shawano (2-1-0) split a pair of games this weekend, losing to Stevens Point Area 3-0 but defeating Lakeland 4-3.
Hawks goalie Manny Morel made 43 saves over the two games. Jacob Dickman and Cole Nelse each recorded a goal and assist for the Hawks, while Tyler Buerman and Jacob Moesch scored one goal apiece.
