Helen A. Sullivan

Helen A. Sullivan (nee Peterson) passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at the age of 88. Wife of the late Francis (Lee) Sullivan. Mother of Michael and her beloved dogs, Toby (Fritz) and the late Frosty (Lil’ Sweetie). Daughter of the late Lynn and Margaret Peterson. Sister of the late Jean Gray, William Peterson and Mary Peterson. Also survived by nephews Robert (Carol) Wandel, the late Ronald (Nancy) Wandel, her godson Timothy (Yvonne) Wandel, special friends Tom and Emmy Schneider, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Peace United Church of Christ, 208 E. Mauer St., Shawano, from 10-11 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment, after services, will be at Friendship Cemetery, Township of Belle Plaine, Shawano County. Helen was an employee of Allis Chalmers for 39 years, as well as a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II. She was a member of UAW Local 248 retirees chapter. Helen was a 66-year member of American Legion Stoddard-Heinle Post 500, a charter member of Women in Military Service for America, and a member of Waves National Badger Post 39.
