Glynes “Goosie” Frechette, 76, of Mountain, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015. She was born in Oconto on Feb. 12, 1938, to the late Luke and Beatrice (Eckert) Heroux.
Glynes Heroux married Harold Frechette on July 29, 1961. She enjoyed waitressing at Lakeside Inn, where she loved being around people and made a lot of friends throughout the years. Glynes was a member of Slick Chicks and she enjoyed playing Bingo and doing many other social activities. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Glynes is survived by her three children, Kim (Ken) Woelfel, of New Berlin, Todd (Julie) Frechette, of Breed, and Dave (Bonnie) Frechette, of Green Bay; a sister, Judi (Wayne) Schaut, of Green Bay; two grandchildren, Cole Goodwill and Thomas Woelfel. She is further survived by her two nieces, Kayln (Eric) Schaut and Kelli (Neil) VanLannen and their daughter, Melissa, and three godchildren, Kayln Schaut, Lisa Paluch and Tom Collins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, “Bud,” on Dec. 20, 2002; her brother, Norbert Herouxl and her great-nephew, Jacob VanLannen.
Visitation was held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, from 3 p.m. until the prayer vigil at 6:30 p.m. with Sister Marla Clercx officiating. Visitation continued Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church Chapel at Chute Lake from 10 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dean Dombroski and Sister Marla Clercx officiating. Glynes will be interred in Mountain Cemetery.
