Gerald D. Tennant Jr., 56, of Gillett passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at his residence. Jerry was born on Feb. 14, 1967, in Michigan, son of the late Gerald Sr. and Judy (Hertwig) Tennant. On Dec. 23, 1999, he married Jennifer Jansen in Gillett.
Jerry was self-employed as a handyman. He was always helping somebody with something. Jerry enjoyed fishing and mowing his lawn. He was very outgoing and stubborn as well.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Tennant; three children, Gerald Tennant III, Jonathon Tennant and Sheena Tennant; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Jansen; six grandchildren, Destiny, Steven, Jaden, Jasmine, Evelyn and Dennis; brothers and sisters, Terisa Schutt, Toni Pierson, Tim Tennant, Sonya Tennant, and Stacy Geark; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Judy and Gerald Tennant Sr.; and several aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Kuehl Funeral Home, 108 E. Main St., Gillett from 10 a.m. until noon. Cremation has occurred, and a memorial service will conclude the services at noon. Jerry will be laid to rest at a later date.
