George Morris Sr.

George Morris Sr., 89, Stiles, died suddenly Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was born March 14, 1935, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to George and Elsie (Valentine) Morris. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. George lived in the Stiles area for most of his life where he was self-employed as an automobile mechanic and body man. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He is survived by his partner in crime of 40 years, Barb; two sons, George Jr. and Richard (Kathy) and their son, Ryan Morris; he was “Pa” to Barb’s children, Scott (Jackie) and their children, Abby, twins Brady and Riley, Lisa (Tom) and their sons, Ben and Mason; one brother, Steve (Jean); and one sister, Susie. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bob; and one sister, Shirley. Private family services will be held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls, and burial with military honors will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
