Frank W. Schutt Jr.

Frank W. “Junior” Schutt Jr., 86, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, in Shawano. Frank was born in Shawano on March 27, 1929, to the late Frank W. and Amanda (Degener) Schutt Sr. He served our country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. On June 18, 1955, Frank was united in marriage to Delores E. Drews at St. Martin’s in the town of Belle Plaine. Delores preceded him in death on Aug. 17, 2011. In 1964, he began working for Shawano-Gresham School District in the maintenance department, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano, enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, Shawano Lobos baseball, basketball games and going up North to his land. Frank is survived by his daughters, Cindy Beyer, of Shawano, and Kim (Jeff) Machmueller, of Clintonville; his sons, Michael Schutt and Daniel (fiancée Sharon Bohr) Schutt, of Cecil; nine grandchildren, Troy (Jamie) Beyer, Dustin (Corey) Beyer, Ryan “Buzz” (Cassie) Beyer, Nicole (Joe) Reese, Cortney (Drew) Stilen, Brandon (special friend Jenny) Schutt, Zach (special friend Tonya) Schutt, Nick Schutt, Scott (Melaine) Machmueller; 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Duane “Duke” Drews, and sister-in-law, Bernice Drews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores, his parents, two sisters and three brothers. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery with military rites by Shawano American Legion Post 117. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano Booster Club or the American Heart Association.
