Four inducted into Bonduel Hall of Fame

Four more athletes were inducted into the Bonduel Athletic Hall of Fame prior to the start of the Bears football game Oct. 11. The newest members are Alexa (Reinke) Frechette, Jen Dowden, Jim Moeller and Joshua Tebo. Alexa (Reinke) Frechette Frechette is a class of 2015 alumna. During her time at Bonduel, Frechette was dedicated to being a student-athlete as she graduated fourth in her class all while playing volleyball, basketball and softball, and earning letters in each sport all four years. In volleyball, she earned second team all-conference honors in her junior and senior years, and in softball, she was recognized as first team all-conference in her senior year. Frechette’s contributions to the basketball team were particularly notable. Her leadership helped the team win conference championships in her junior and senior years. She was a first team all-CWC-8 selection in both her junior and senior years and earned Green Bay Press Gazette all-area honorable mention recognition. Additionally, she was named co-senior athlete and achieved academic all-conference honors all four years. Her talent was further recognized when she played in the WBCA All-Star game in her senior year. She continued her basketball career at Wisconsin Lutheran College, where her team made it to the NCAA tournament three times. She earned second team all-NACC honors in her senior year, as well as being recognized as a NACC Scholar Athlete all four years at WLC for her academic achievements. Recently, Frechette moved back to the area with her husband, Dillon Frechette, after he served eight years in the Marine Corps. They welcomed their daughter, Frankie Rose, in November of last year. Frechette now enjoys coaching basketball alongside her father, Jerry Reinke, and sister, Abby Krull, contributing to the community and inspiring young athletes. Jen Dowden Dowden exemplifies the very essence of excellence, dedication, and sportsmanship both on and off the field. During her years at Bonduel High School, Dowden distinguished herself as a standout three-sport athlete, excelling in varsity volleyball, basketball and softball all four years. Her tenure at BHS was marked by an impressive collection of accolades, including captaincy, MVP honors, all-conference selections, player of the year awards and all-state recognitions. She set the BHS overall scoring record in basketball with 1,397 points, a testament to her unmatched skill and tenacity. Her leadership on the court and field was undeniable, guiding her teams to multiple conference and regional championships. Dowden’s athletic journey continued at Wisconsin Lutheran College, where she committed to playing Division 3 college basketball. Her college career was just as illustrious, as she garnered I\ACC all-conference honors, earned player of the year awards and became a D3 All-American during her standout junior season. By the time she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports and exercise science, Dowden had cemented her legacy as the women’s basketball all-time scoring leader at WLC with 1,757 points. Today, her passion for athletics and fitness continues to shine. She holds the position of district manager at Anytime Fitness and also serves as a fitness coach at [solidcore], sharing her love for health and wellness with others. James (Jim) Moeller Moeller is a 1953 graduate of Bonduel High School. During his time at BHS, he participated in football (lettering his junior and senior years), basketball (lettering his junior and senior years), and track and field (lettering his sophomore, junior and senior years). His sophomore year Moeller placed fourth place in the 200 low hurdles and was part of the 880-relay team that placed second at the WIAA State field competition. His senior year, Moeller won two gold medals competing in the 120 high hurdles and the 200 low hurdles at the WIAA State Track and Field competition at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. Following graduation, Moeller enlisted in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1955. Moeller has been married to his wife, Joyce, for 67 years and has three children, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Joshua Tebo Tebo is a veteran educator with more than 27 years of experience as a teacher, athletic director, dean of students and aquatics director. He has a strong record of teaching, leadership, mentoring staff members, developing program initiatives, coaching and managing athletic programs. Consistently, he holds students to high standards of behavioral and academic achievement. Tebo collaboratively works with other educators, students, and families to ensure all students have meaningful academic and personal success. He is committed to the success of each and every individual student he serves.
