Eleanor Martin, 82, of Gresham, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014. She was born on March 4, 1932, in the town of Seneca to the late Louis J. and Sophronia (Doxtator) Hammer.
On Aug. 2, 1948, Eleanor was united in marriage to Harvey Martin, who preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 2000.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Jahne Martin, of Tacoma, Washington, Carol Doxtator, of Weston, William Martin, of Dodgeville, Darwin Martin, of Bowler, Lisa (Neal) Stevens, of Gresham, and Amber (Steve) Strasburg Belzer ,of Jefferson; 16 grandchildren, Grant, Roy, Schyler, Sophie, Shane, Sydney, Kenneth, Dayland, Chevy, Shannon, Lavender, David, Richard, Veronica, Ronni and Andy; many great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lois (Mel) Siim, Brenda Curtis, Wayne (Cheryl) Malone and John Malone.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; four children, Greg, Robert, Mary and Sandra; one grandson, B.G.; and siblings, Donna, Velma and Otho.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, from 1-4 p.m. at the Red Springs Town Hall.
