Dickman scores six goals against Medford

Dec. 12 Shawano/Bonduel 2, Stevens Point Pacelli 1 Blake Swedberg’s goal halfway through the third period was the game winner as Shawano/Bonduel topped the Stevens Point Pacelli Cardinals 2-1. Blake Knope kicked off the scoring with a power play goal at 12:01 in the first period. Jeremy Helmuth and Cameron Schroeder assisted. The Cardinals tied the game at 16:47 in the second period, which is where it stayed until Swedberg’s goal with help from Grace Lammers. Each team had plenty of chances to score, with Shawano/Bonduel having 35 shots on goal compared to Pacelli’s 29. Kaiden Thornborrow recorded 28 saves. Shawano/Bonduel was called for seven penalties for 14 minutes, while Pacelli was called for four infractions for eight minutes. Antigo 7, Medford 3 It was Owen Dickman’s night as he scored six goals in Antigo’s 7-3 win over Medford. He started the scoring out 54 seconds into the first period with an even strength goal. At 4:50, Liam Burt scored with a Dickman assisting to put Antigo up 2-0. Medford scored about four minutes later to close out the first-period scores. Dickman, with assists by Burt and Alex Brittenham, scored at 15:17 in the second period to put Antigo on top 3-1. That goal late in the second opened the floodgates for Dickman who scored four times in fewer than five minutes in the third period. Burt and Brittenham assisted on the even strength goal at 2:31. Brittenham helped again at 2:53. At 6:32, Dickman scored again, with help from Carson Rhode. Finally, at 7:02, Rhode and Brittenham assisted Dickman on his sixth goal. Medford scored twice after that. Richie Veriha had 24 saves for Antigo, while Jacob Doyle had 18 for Medford. It was a penalty-free game for the most part. Medford was called for one penalty for two minutes. Antigo was penalized twice for 15 minutes, including a 10-minute penalty on Jack Siegman for unsportsmanlike conduct.
