David Raymond Skenandore, 57, of Milwaukee, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, in Milwaukee. Born on Dec. 27, 1955, in Milwaukee, he was the son of Evelyn (Metoxen) Skenandore and the late Walter R. Skenandore.
On March 6, 1981, he was united in marriage to Geraldine LaFainer in Milwaukee. David worked as a crane operator for a construction company. When not at work, he enjoyed beading, playing his Xbox, watching the Packers and Brewers, working on cars with his daughters, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife, Geraldine; his four daughters, Vanessa R. Lawe, of Middle Village, Frances R. Lawe, of Keshena, Becky L. Lawe, of Middle Village, and Karrie A. (fiancé, Bernard Webster) Skenandore; nine grandchildren, Ashely, Jordan, Cierra, Kyle, Na-Shay-La, Hayden, Makayla, Emalee, Kay-Yariah; his mother, Evelyn Skenandore, of Oneida; four sisters, Debra, of Milwaukee, Linda (Brian) Bateman, of Oneida, Elaine (Donald) Terpstra, of Oneida, and Kristine (Jim) Hughes, of Oneida; three brothers, Robert (Linda), of Oneida, Jeffrey (Julie), of South Carolina, and Michael (Angel), of Valders; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
David was preceded in death by a son, Robert; his daughter, Lyndsey; and his father, Walter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. David McElroy, O. Praem., officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the family residence located at N1990 Hickory Road in Middle Village from 5 p.m. Thursday until the procession leaves for the church on Monday. A parish wake service will be held at the residence on Sunday at 7 p.m.
