An arrest warrant was issued Friday for a Keshena man who went missing from the Huber work release facility for the second time in a month.
Ramon F. Wahsquonaikezhik, 25, disappeared Oct. 26 after failing to return from his employment, according to the criminal complaint.
Wahsquonaikezhik previously walked away from the Huber facility on Aug. 5, according to court records. He pleaded no contest to a felony charge of escape on Oct. 10 and was sentenced to a year in jail, with work release privileges.
He was already serving a year in jail as a condition of four years probation after pleading no contest in April to a felony burglary charge.
Wahsquonaikezhik could face a maximum six years in prison and $10,000 fine if convicted of the new escape charge.
OWI
A rural Shawano man is facing a felony charge of fifth offense operating while intoxicated after authorities responded to a report of a man passed out in a pickup truck on Lake Drive in Wescott on Friday.
Christopher D. Surdyk, 34, could face six years in prison and a $10,000 fine if found guilty. He is also charged with misdemeanor counts of bail jumping and operating after revocation.
A preliminary breath test showed an alcohol concentration of 0.18 percent, according to the criminal complaint.
According to the complaint, Surdyk has previous OWI convictions in Shawano and Brown counties and two in Illinois.
Surdyk was being held on a $2,000 cash bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Nov. 18.
