Calvin J. Kadlec, 79, Lena, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born Feb. 6, 1935, in the town of Spruce, to the late Adolph and Carrie (Teteak) Kadlec.
On Oct. 28, 1994, Calvin married Karen Melendes at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church, Hickory. He retired from the Potawatomi Casino as a security guard.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; brothers, Buddy (Ann) and Wayne (Lorraine) Kadlec; brother-in-law, Bill (Ellen) Melendes; sisters-in-law, Joan (Kenneth) Houska and Nancy (Don) Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Ardis (Bob) Colling, Betty (Julius) Makos and Delores Brickner.
