Barkley places fourth at Wausau meet

Jan. 18 Wausau Warrior Women’s Challenge There was plenty of stiff competition at the Wausau Warrior Women’s Challenge with more than 75 schools and 500 wrestlers participating. “The team wrestled well today as we faced very tough competition,” Shawano coach Mike Homan said. “There were many returning state champions at today’s tournament.” Adalyn Barkley placed fourth overall in the 145 bracket. “She has had a great season so far and gets better every single match that she wrestles,” Homan said. “She is a team leader and excels on the mat. She is always looking to improve.”
