Barbara Ann Zastrow

Barbara Ann Zastrow, 62, of Bonduel, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at her home. Barbara was born on Nov. 4, 1952, in Watertown to the late Walter C. and Esther R. (Else) Langer. On Jan. 16, 1971, Barbara was united in marriage to Thomas D. Zastrow in Watertown. She worked as a beautician for 27 years. She owned and operated Barb’s Touch of Class in Watertown. She was also a farmer and, after moving to Bonduel in 1998, continued to milk cows and cook for her growing family. Barbara had a love for horses, especially Clydesdales. She owned several and was a member of the National Clydesdale Association and the Wisconsin Clydesdale Club. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed going up north fishing with her husband and grandchildren, snowmobiling, boating and traveling to Branson, Missouri, in December to watch the Christmas shows. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Tom; a daughter, Kerry Higgins, and Kerry’s children, Timothy and Brandon; two sons, Keith Zastrow and Kevin (Jaime) Zastrow, as well as Kevin’s children, Trinity and Kyle, all of Bonduel. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A funeral service for Barb will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Friedens Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Virgil Hanson officiating. Burial will be in Friedens Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. and again on Sunday, at church, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
