Arvin J. Schultz

Arvin J. Schultz, 75, died peacefully at home Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014. He was born June 7, 1939, to the late Frank and Agnes (Behling) in Shawano. On Sept. 10, 1966, Arvin married Judy Mehlhorn at St. James Lutheran Church, Shawano. Arvin was an avid gardener who enjoyed time outdoors in the woods and fishing. He had a keen eye for genealogy, history and enjoyed sharing his sharp memory for details of his time spent growing up and living in Shawano. Arvin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who took great joy in time at home with family. Arvin was a 1958 graduate of Shawano High School. He completed technical training at the Appleton School of Vocational and Adult Education in 1961. After graduation he worked as a machinist, most recently working more than 25 years with C.A. Lawton Co. before retiring in 2003. Arvin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy; his two sons, Aaron (Shannon) Schultz, of Cedarburg, and Jonathan (Angie) Schultz, of Green Bay; five grandchildren, August, Martha and Hazel Schultz, of Cedarburg, and Bailey and Sawyer Schultz, of Green Bay; his brother, Terry (Beverly) Schultz, of Shawano; mother-in-law, Lillian Mehlhorn, of Shawano; sister-in-law, Barbara Mehlhorn (Fran) McNeill, of Grayslake, Illinois; two nephews, Paul (Shannon) Schultz, and family of Green Bay, and Mehul (Cindy) Anjaria, of Corona, California. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, from 4-7 p.m., at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave. Visitation will continue on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Drive, with the Rev. Hal Toenjes officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Arvin’s name.
