Suring High School commencement exercises will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 30, in the high school gymnasium. Valedictorian is Mikaela Reed, and salutatorian is Mackenzi LaMarre.
The class motto is “No matter how invisible we may appear some days, no matter how far we may be from one another, we shall always remain as one by the moments we shared in our hope of creating our dream for tomorrow.”
The class colors are purple and black, and the class flower is a purple tipped white rose.
Candidates for graduation (* denotes honor students) are Darian Bowman, Daisy Britten, Savannah Campbell, *Carly Christensen, *Grant Fischer, *Lakken Flynn, Paige Friebel, *Brooke Gauthier, *John Haure, *Hunter Kopatz, Dallas Krieger, *Mackenzi LaMarre, Lillian Leurquin, Michelle Lynch, *Brianna Manecke, *John Philippi, *Mikaela Reed, Dakota Ruley, *Jade Schneider, *Michael Schneider, Tayelor Schroth, *Zoey Shay, *Breanna Tienor, Tristin Tisch, *Amber Trudell, *Creo Van Bellinger and *Joshua Vollmar.
Mikaela Reed is the daughter of Tim and Sherrie Reed, of Suring. She was inducted into the National Honor Society as a sophomore and served as vice president her senior year. She has also served as president of the Suring FFA chapter and has been an active member of Lamp S, Environmental Club, S Club, Student Council and choir. She played volleyball and sang the national anthem at sporting events. She was a Badger Girls State representative and prom queen. She will attend the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay to major in pre-pharmacy.
Mackenzi LaMarre is the daughter of Mike and Julie LaMarre, of Suring. She has been a member of the S Club for four years and served as president her senior year. She was class president for three years and treasurer of the Environmental Club. She has been involved in Student Council two years, National Honor Society one year, and Lamp S for four years. She has participated in volleyball and basketball for four years and track for three years. She plans to attend UW-Green Bay to pursue a degree in social work.
