The Oconto Hospital Citizens’ Foundation recently received a $5,000 bequest from the Wilma H. Cook estate in support of Oconto Hospital. Patty Heier and Lynn Exford hand delivered the gift to the foundation office on Nov. 5.
For more than 30 years, Cook was a surgical nurse at the Oconto Hospital on First Street. Dr. John Honish, president of the Oconto Hospital Citizens’ Foundation, worked with Cook.
“Willie was an advocate of the hospital and a generous supporter of Bellin Health Oconto Hospital,” Honish said.
Bellin Health Oconto Hospital is a partnership between the Oconto Hospital Citizens’ Foundation and Bellin Health to meet the health care needs of the residents of Oconto and surrounding communities.
