Hospital auxiliary donates $10K to Chapel Campaign

Friends of St. Clare Memorial Hospital last week announced it is one step closer to its mission of opening a chapel inside HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital, thanks to a $10,000 donation from the St. Clare Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. The chapel will be located on the first floor of HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital where the gift shop was previously and is expected to open this winter. The gift shop is now located in an area near the waiting room on the first floor. “We are extremely grateful to the auxiliary for choosing to help fund the chapel,” said Ann Senn, director of philanthropy for Friends of St. Clare Memorial Hospital. “We hope others will see the importance of building this truly special place for all people to find comfort, pray, reflect or give thanks.” Friends of St. Clare Memorial Hospital is the supporting, charitable arm of HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital, which is a faith-based, not-for-profit hospital. The St. Clare Memorial Hospital Auxiliary supports the hospital through various fundraising activities including proceeds from the hospital gift shop. The auxiliary has a long-standing history of financial support and community volunteers giving their time, talent and resources to benefit HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital. “We believe the chapel will be a blessing to the community, patients, their families, friends and caregivers, and we are honored to be a part of the mission to create it,” said Sue Ann VanArk, of the St. Clare Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Friends of St. Clare Memorial Hospital invite people to help further support the Chapel Campaign by sending a donation with check made out to: Friends of St. Clare Memorial Hospital, 855 S.
