The Holt & Balcom Logging Camp Museum in Lakewood is open for public tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday through Labor Day weekend.
A special Reader’s Theatre Performance with a logging theme will be presented at 2 p.m. Aug. 17 by the Wabeno Area Players.
Holt & Balcom Logging Camp Museum is located off Highway F, 1.5 miles east of Lakewood. Turn right into the McCauslin Golf Course and Country Club, then follow the signs. Park in the golf course lot; the museum is directly behind the clubhouse.
Admission is free for Saturday tours, but donations to cover the cost of camp maintenance are appreciated. Special tours can be arranged by calling 715-276-3505 or 715-276-6515.
