Each year on Nov. 11, veterans who have served and who are serving our country are honored throughout the United States. Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg will honor all veterans in a special flag raising ceremony at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Vietnam veteran Anthony Gauthier, of Wittenberg, will be master of ceremonies. American Legion Post 341 will be present for the gun salute and playing of taps. Ho-Chunk veterans Sid Whitewing, Lucy Vargas and Corwin Roth will join Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg security officers who have served in the military for the flag raising. Lake Delton Singers will sing the Ho-Chunk Nation Flag Song to bring the traditional culture to this Veterans Day ceremony.
The ceremony is free and open to the public. All attendees 21 or older can enter a barrel drawing for a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards to Fleet Farm. All veterans will be given $10 in Rewards Play and a meal voucher valued at $5 for Ho-Chunk Gaming Wittenberg’s snack bar.
